Nexus 5 Reportedly Receiving Android 4.4.4_r2 KitKat Update in India

According to user reports, Google is rolling out an OTA update for Nexus 5 users in India to Android version 4.4.4_r2 KitKat, bringing some minor fixes. The update does not bump up the version number or bring any interface changes, but reportedly includes some bug fixes related to network carriers for the smartphone.
The reported roll-out of the Android 4.4.4_r2 update for Nexus 5 in India comes via Google+ user Manish Kumar, who posts a screenshot of the 'About phone' image of a Nexus 5 with build number changed from KTU84P (with the first Android 4.4.4 KitKat update) to KTU84Q. The user, who claims to have sourced the screenshot, also adds in the comments that the update is sized at 2.2MB.

Android Central reports that the new KTU84Q build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat for Nexus 5 is officially named as Android 4.4.4_r2, and addresses certain network issues.
While not much has been known about the update, it has been understood that the update is not only set for India, but will reach Australia and New Zealand regions also. "4.4.4 Release 2 (For 2Degrees/NZ, Telsta/AUS and India ONLY)" states the official version name of the update on the Google's Developer website.
To recall, Google introduced its Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS in India last month via an OTA update. The update that started with Google Nexus 5 majorly fixed security issues, specifically related to an OpenSSL bug. Few changes to Chromium Web browser and WebView were also made.
Sized at a minimal 2.5MB for Nexus 5 (Review | Pictures), Google's first Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has minor changes from Android 4.4.3 KitKat. Other than existing bug fixes, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update did not include anything significantly new in terms of features and UI interface.
The Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS update came just within a month from the Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS' launch. The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update included several security enhancements and various bug fixes.

Sony Xperia Z3 images leaked

xperia z3
xperia z3
Rumors of the Sony Xperia Z3 have been spreading, with the latest coming from Vodafone Germany. The device’s appearance has not been unveiled until today, though, making this leak a little special.
Previous rumors suggested a different design approach but from the leaks, not much design change can be noticed . Sony is known for its classic aesthetics, which is something their fans often praise. Aside from its looks, the prototype unit does seem to be quite a capable device so far.
Most specs continue to be a mystery, but from the photos it can be told that it is running Android 4.4.4 on firmware build 23.0.G.0.98. It also seems like the device will have a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 graphics and probably the same 20.7MP Exmor RS lens we have seen from both predecessors.
It’s also important to note this is still a prototype, so design, specs and other aspects could still be subject to change. Of course, it may a bit early to be losing sleep over the Xperia Z3.
These are still the rumors and we wouldn't just yet confirm. We will get back shortly with more related leaks and proofs.

Samsung takes on Qualcomm Snapdragons with new LTE-capable Exynos ModAP SoC

Samsung has announced a new Exynos ModAP SoC (System on Chip) that features a built in 4G LTE radio. The chip features a quad-core processor, unlike the Exynos 5 chips that offer 8 cores.
While Samsung has been touting its quad- and octo-core Exynos processors for some time now, they've recently been relegated to 3G-only smartphones or WiFi tablets due to a lack of integrated LTE.
ModAP is the company’s first SoC with on-die LTE integration, which will allow the South Korean major to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm, which was the only chip maker to include an LTE radio on its SoCs.
The ModAP is a 3GPP Release 9, Cat-4 LTE chip which is capable of supporting it at both duplex mode, FDD and TDD, in addition to legacy 2G and 3G mobile interfaceswhich brings carrier aggregation and 150Mbps potential speeds as well. The built-in Image Signal Processor (ISP) is slightly underwhelming, capable of supporting an 8MP sensor and 1080p video at 30fps.

Android L : A Major (design and feature) Update.

Android L is an upcoming release of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google. Unveiled on June 25, 2014, and released in a beta the next day for selected Google Nexus devices, it is expected to be released to manufacturing in late-2014.
Android L introduces a refreshed notification system. Individual notifications are now displayed on cards to adhere to the material design language, and batches of notifications can be grouped by the app that produced them. Notifications are now displayed on the lock screen as cards, and notifications can also be displayed as large banners across the top of the screen, along with their respective action buttons.A do-not-disturb feature is also added for notifications. The recent apps menu was redesigned to use a three-dimensional stack of cards to represent open apps. Individual apps can also display multiple cards in the recent menu, rather than only one entry per app; for example, a web browser can show all of its open tabs as individual cards.
Android L also aims to improve battery consumption through a series of optimisations known as "Project Volta". Among its changes are a new battery saver mode, job scheduling APIs which can restrict certain tasks to only occur over Wi-Fi, and batch tasks together to reduce the overall amount of time that internal radios are active. The new developer tool "Battery Historian" can be used for tracking battery consumption by apps while in use.The Android Extension Pack APIs also provide graphics functions such as new shaders, aiming to provide PC-level graphics for 3D games on Android devices.
A developer preview of Android L was released for the Nexus 5 and 2013 Nexus 7 on June 26, 2014, as a replacement factory image flashed in Fastboot mode. The final release is expected to be made in late-2014.Source code for the developer preview was released via Android Open Source Project (AOSP) in July 2014.
HTC has committed to preparing updates to Android L for its HTC One and One M8 smartphones "within 90 days of receiving final software from Google."

LG G Vista leaked : Its a 5.7-inch(Rumoured) affordable Verizon smartphone

LG is trying the G revolution to target the masses with different prices and specs range of phones alike its flagship . With the G3 now in its way across the world, the G3 Beat announced and the G3S rumored, what other markets can the growing Korean manufacturer target?
Though the LG G3 is now available for pre-order from Verizon, with a release date set for July 17,  not everyone wants that superphone. People looking for a more affordable handset from LG may soon have a brand new option.
Code-named the LG VS880 and featuring a 5.7-inch 720p display, this device will  not disappoint the casual users among us. The device comes with Android 4.2, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, 8MP(Rear)/1.3MP(Front) cameras and a 3200 mAh battery.
Though not amazingly slim and light, the mid-end smartphone is thin enough with a 9.1mm-thick body and 158 grams of weight. Needless to say it looks just like a larger LG G3, with lower specs and what seems like a slightly inferior construction.
Paired with the right price, this device should be great for some Verizon users. Sadly, the details about its price and availability are still not known .Since it is a rumour,we cant just stick to this one quite yet. Although good reputation preceeds @evleaks , it is also not perfect.
